Let us tell you about Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church by offering this brief description of our congregation’s mission and ministry.

Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church is a mission of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod and of the Rocky Mountain District of this Synod. This mission serves the communities of Angel Fire, Black Lake, Eagle Nest, Cimarron, as well as the winter and summer visitors to the area.

Our winter ministry includes many church groups and skiers who use the church facilities and join the congregation for worship and service projects. Summer “Servant Events” at Christ Our Savior provide opportunities for high school youth groups from across the nation to participate in a variety of ministries and service projects. Angel Fire offers many outdoor activities unique to Northern New Mexico. In addition to the worship, study, and pastoral care mission of the members and friends of our church, the congregation also ministers to the needs of others through participation with various local church and civic organizations.

Divine Worship is celebrated every Sunday at 11:00 am with youth and adult bible study preceding at 10:00 am and fellowship time after worship. The Lord’s Supper, Holy Communion, is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of each month. Special times for scripture study, faith sharing, and prayer are set aside in bible studies and especially in the Church Year Seasons of Advent and Lent. Worship for us at Christ Our Savior Lutheran is quite informal in dress, but at the same time, it is very intentional in our love for God, our encouragement to one another, and our welcome to friends and guests.

  Ministry

• Word, Worship and Sacraments – Worship services and Bible studies are provided for members and for the many visitors who come to this resort area.

• Servant Events – Family and youth groups from the LCMS churches around the country come to Angel Fire to serve the congregation, the needy, and the Angel Fire community, while having fun in the process, and while learning the meaning of being a servant.

(See the Servant Events section of this website.)
